Ichendorf has long been associated with fine glassmaking, a house whose reputation rests on craft rather than volume. The Birds Water Glass in Amber belongs to that lineage, a design by Tomoko Mizu that takes the bird as its emblem, a motif regarded across cultures as a sign of prosperity and freedom. Rather than decorate, the glass leaves that idea to be read quietly, and its restrained form suits a breakfast table as readily as a long evening meal.
